Welcome to the Society of Physics Students!

The Gonzaga University Society of Physics Students (GU-SPS) was founded on June 16, 1988 with the purpose of enjoying the advantages of belonging to an old and famed group such as the AIP, helping ourselves in our education as Physics majors or minors, and extend our help to the K-12 population of Spokane, WA. GU-SPS follows the SPS seven roles designated by the AIP and seeks to accomplish its yearly plans.

The Society of Physics Students (SPS) is a nation-wide member society under the American Institute of Physics (AIP). It embraces nearly 700 chapters in colleges and universities and is divided in 18 geographic zones. GU-SPS is within zone 17 and is located in the Herak Engineering Center, Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington.
